Yes, definitely, it is even very useful because the ingredients of the BASIC, specifically magnesium and omega 3 fatty acids (DHA), have a positive effect on the growth and development of the foal. In the beginning of the pregnancy the BALANCER is a suitable option, because extra minerals are very important for development of healthy joints in the foal. It is not recommendable to give pregnant mares high amounts of concentrates because of the risk of becoming overweight. The IMMUNO is NOT suitable for pregnant or lactating mares, because it stimulates the release of waste products, which if released would end up in the milk or the amniotic fluid. This isn’t healthy for the foal.

During the last four months of gestation you can switch to GROW instead of BALANCER, and if you have broodmares you can continuously feed GROW. The concentrates you feed after the foal is born can be decreased by 50 % if you keep feeding GROW and possibly BASIC.

The MAGNESIUM, GLUCO and RECOVER can safely be fed to lactating or pregnant mares.
