Yes, if your horse eats sufficient roughage of good quality, the EquilinBALANCER contains enough nutrients when it comes to vitamins and minerals. To be sure the horse receives enough proteins, our advice is to add 0,5 to 1 kg of alfalfa to the diet, plus some extra linseed oil if the diet consists of only dried roughage. EquilinBASIC or COMFORT can be given for extra support, for example if a horse is being trained intensively, is of older age, or suffers from complicated illnesses like insulin resistance, PPID, recurrent colics et cetera.

There are endurance horses who complete a competition of 90 km without any problems, while being fed no other concentrates other than Equilin products.

(Example of a diet of an endurance horse: sufficient high quality roughage, 1 kg of alfalfa, saturated plant based oils (coconut), 200 gr EquilinBASIC and 110 gr EquilinBALANCER.)

Also show jumping and dressage horses competing on international level can perform well with the ration mentioned above, adding a maximum of 1 or 2 kgs (protein rich) concentrates.
